TEAM HUMBER MARINE ALLIANCE

Forest Pines Hotel near Brigg in Lincolnshire played host to yet another THMA event in early September with its main aim of informing people on the ongoing and exciting planned developments of Able UK for the Humberside area.

In fact Able UK have already made significant investments on the Humber but this is only the start. The next two phases of activity surround the combined Logistics and Business Park and the development of a Marine Energy Park – including the construction of c. 1,630m of new quays – to service the growing needs of the Renewable Energy Sector.

“We have the will, the resource and the passion to make this happen and to put the South Humber Bank at the heart of a new and exciting development. We have always taken a long term view and have retained a desire to maximise the impact of our projects in terms of both job and wealth creation. Equally we are committed to respecting the needs of all stakeholders and to ensure that we can be proud of a truly world-class, world scale and sustainable development. This is a fantastic opportunity for the region and for the UK as a whole and we look forward to working with you.”

Peter Stephenson Executive Chairman | Able UK Limited

Speaking on behalf of Able UK Neil Etherington, Group Development Director, presented in detail the planned development and answered questions from delegates. This was complemented by a networking lunch and presentations from...

• Peter Baker, THMA – Overview of the Humber Ports complex

• Dr Gordon Edge, RenewableUK – Offshore Wind as we develop to Round 3
