younger people are seeking our support in the aftermath of involvement in the Falklands, Bosnia, the Gulf, Iraq and other conflicts and this is a trend that looks set to continue. Over the last few years there has been an increase in requests from serving personnel for advice, together with requests for holiday breaks from families whose husbands are on detachment overseas.

RAFA was born in 1943 – membership is open to anyone who has ever served in the RAF. On every RAF station there is at least one RAFA Liaison Officer (RAFALO)

and he or she together with their committee provides the vital link between the Association and the Service.

Welfare and care is at the very heart of the Association. The Association takes the view that welfare is all about people.

The RAF Association is your Association. If you have not already done so, please help by becoming a member. Membership only costs £16.00 per year and application forms can be obtained from Personnel Services Flight from your station RAFALO or direct from RAFA www.rafa.org.uk
