This is what I wrote:

This list, the expression of my heart’s deepest desires, filled both
sides of the napkin. Before that moment, I had never allowed myself to believe that any of those feelings were even possible for me, let alone accessible. But I had been made to see that anything was possible, and that I already held the key. That spring day in 1991 was the day I took back my life. For years, that napkin stayed by my side wherever I went. Tattered, torn, and finally unreadable, it was my symbol of hope and transformation. That day, I set out on my journey to reclaim my authentic self—the self that had always been there, buried under my self-made mountain of pain and despair.
From that day forth, I spent every spare moment reading
inspirational books from spiritual visionaries like Norman Vincent Peale, Florence Scovel Shinn, Napoleon Hill, and Ernest Holmes. They became my virtual mentors. As the years went by, I added to my transformational toolkit, soaking up the wisdom of teachers like Marianne Williamson, Tony Robbins, Debbie Ford, Cheryl Richardson, and dozens of others. I dedicated myself to living from the inside out, using the powers of my mind and heart to continually transform my life. Nearly twenty years have passed, but my transformational journey continues to this day. I live a life of joy, ease, and love, because this is the life I choose for myself.
