Canadian-bred Horses Sweep the Young Horse Series at CornerStone Palgrave, Ontario – The third event in
the central region of the 2010 Jump Canada Young Horse Series took place during the CornerStone Horse Show held June 23-27 at the Caledon Equestrian Park in Palgrave, ON. All four age divisions were won by Cana- dian-bred horses.
Roberto Teran and Grand Finale 3E dominated the Seven and Eight- Year-Old Division. The pair jumped double clear and had the fastest time in the jump-off to secure the win. Bred by KingRidge Stables of King, ON, Grand Finale 3E is an eight-year- old bay Canadian Sport Horse mare by Jamestown out of a Chin Chin mare. Also jumping double clear, but not quite fast enough to catch the win- ner, was Michelle Vandal and VDL Viper H. Bred in Canada by Hogen- doorn Sport Horses of Baden, ON,
VDL Viper H is an eight-year-old grey Canadian Warmblood gelding by Cor- land and out of an Ahorn mare. Lauren Patava placed third with a double clear performance riding Sly, owned by Bonaventure Farm. Sly is a seven-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood gelding by Lureusa and out of a mare by Goodtimes.
KingRidge Stables, Infinity 3E is a dark bay Canadian Sport Horse mare by Polyfax and out of a Class Action mare.
In the Six-Year-Old Division, Yann Candele piloted Casius Clay to double clear rounds to secure victory for owner Lyda Bostock. Bred in Canada by Crystal and Dale Hawer- chuck of Orangeville, ON, Casius Clay is a black Canadian Warmblood gelding by Catrick II and out of First Class by For Pleasure.
Yann Candele was also clear in the jump-off, but a slower time placed him third riding Callirado. Owned by Susan Grange and Lothlorien Farm of Cheltenham, ON, Callirado is a bay Holsteiner mare by Calido 1 and out of an Acorado mare.

The Five-Year-Old Division was topped by EWSZ’s Jerevel ridden by Johan Letimonier. Bred and owned by European Warmblood Stallion Zen- trum of London, ON, EWSZ’s Jerevel is a Rheinlander mare by Daimler d’Adriers and out of a Rio Grande dam. The pair jumped double clear and had the fastest time in the jump- off to secure the win.

boro to a second place finish for owner and breeder Mill Creek Stables of Cambridge, ON, with another double clear performance but in a slightly slower time. Marlboro is a black Oldenburg mare by Rodero and out of an Escudo I dam.
Jumping into third place, also with two clear rounds, were Roberto Teran and KingRidge Stables’ Jetsetter 3E, a bay Cana- dian Sport Horse mare by Polyfax out of a mare by Chin Chin.
The Four-Year-Old Division was won by Natasha Smith-Avery riding Beam P for owner Susan Parker. The pair jumped clear for the maximum 50 performance points, and were awarded an impressive style score of 47 out of a possible 50 points by the style judge for a total of 97 points. Bred in Canada by Prima Warmblood of Mount Albert, ON, Beam P is a bay Dutch Warmblood gelding by Indoctro and out of an Emilion mare. Placing second under rider Michelle Vandal was Rio’s Etienne W, owned and bred by Augustin Walch’s W. Charlot Farms in Stratford, ON. Rio’s Etienne W had a clear round for the maximum of 50 performance points, and was awarded 45 points by the style judge for a total of 95 points. Rio’s Eti- enne W is a dark bay Canadian Warmblood mare by Rio Grande and out of an Esprit d’Amour mare.
Claiming a close third was Robert Krz- mar aboard La Fleur. La Fleur also jumped clear and was awarded 44.5 style points for a total of 94.5 points. Owned by Jacqueline Wickens, Le Fleur is by Nektor and out of a mare by Loretin I.
