Page 8. MAINE COASTAL NEWS July 2010 Yacht Racing News SAILMAINE SHAKEDOWN REGATTA RACING BEGINS ON CASCO BAY

The SailMaine Shakedown Regatta had 16 boats ranging from 20 - 53 feet and over 30 SailMaine sailors in their bright orange shirts. SailMaine sailors got an introduction to big boat racing! The weather eventually cooperated with us with sunny skies and 10+ knot winds. After the race, about 100 participants gathered for a shore side party that included a pig roast and live music.

SailMaine would like to thank their sponsors, RBC Dain Rauscher, GMORA, Pollard Builders, and all the volunteers who worked so hard to put this all together.
