There was a good turnout in the diesel classes. Four boats were entered in Class B and it was Ed Glover’s GRACIE crossing ahead of Bill Oliver’s KAREN LYNN and Devin Haskell’s HOOLIGAN. Six boats came to the line in Class C and this was won by Bill Lowe’s EMILY GRACE, who got by Chuck Williams’ MJR. WEAKEYES. In Class D PISCUTTAH II was the easy winner. In Class E KIMBERLEY BELLE was first to cross with Chris Hutchinson’s MINOR DEBT second. In a big rematch, Class F had MS. ROSE, WHY KNOT and DOUBLE G. on the line and as they neared the finish it was MS. ROSE, WHY KNOT and DOUBLE G. Another rematch was between LISA MARIE and SEACOCK and this time it was SEACOCK by half a boat length. Wendell Bryant of Cutler brought down 16TH

AVENUE and just beat HEY BABY in Class J. In Diesel Class K Andrew

Gove’s UNCLE’S UFO just got by MOTIVA- TION for the win. A number of people were waiting to see Alfred Osgood’s STARLIGHT EXPRESS run. She easily bested the field with a speed of 54.7 mph.

In the Gasoline Free-for-All the easy winner was FOOLISH PLEASURE with a speed of 63 mph.

In the Diesel Free-for-All STARLIGHT EXPRESS got by UNCLE’S UFO for a three boat length win.

In the Wooden Boat Race there were eight boats on the line and as they came up you could hear the scream of the big Chevy engine of SEA FLEA. This 44 year old boat battled ABIGAIL & CARTER for the win. Well it was down to the final race, the Fastest Lobster Boat, and FOOLISH PLEA- SURE set a new record with a speed of 68.1 mph. However, she did not sound very healthy when she finished.

It was a great weekend of racing with some very close battles. Now it is on to Moosebec Reach on 3 July.
