In addition to the competition proper, partici- pants also impressed with their expertise in a number of light-hearted side contests, like “Best Chipper”, “Best in Cutting Chips, “Best Card Handler” or “Best in Calculations”, which also served to illustrate the skills need- ed by a proficient dealer. A CAI casino came up trumps here, with Tibor Bencsics from Casino Sopron winning the “Best in Pushing Stacks” event.


EDC 2010 Winner Paul Van Leeuwen


Launched in 2007, the European Dealer Championship is now a key event in the Euro- pean gaming calendar. Participating dealers are judged in a range of categories, including hospitality and communication skills, techni- cal expertise, discretion and control of the game. The venue for the 2011 event will be announced in the near future.
