NBES
Students tackle soccer skills
By Matt Tate
The world’s most popular sport,
soccer, still struggles to get a foot-
hold in this country. The Asheville-
Buncombe Youth Soccer Association
is working to make up ground.

“Soccer in the Schools” program,
students at North Buncombe El-
ementary School learned basic soccer
skills during a two-day event Thurs-
85 Weaverville Hwy (North Merrimon Ave)
day (Jan. 8) and Friday (Jan. 9).
