School’s Teens Against Tobacco
Use club took a visit Monday
(Nov. 23) and Tuesday (Nov.
24) to North Buncombe Middle
School to make sure the students
start off their teen years on the
right track.
Students listed the hundreds
of dangerous chemicals in smoke
and chew tobacco and showed the
students images of smoke-ridden
lunges, tounges and teeth.
Buncombe County’s teen to-
bacco prevention activities are
funded by a grant from the NC
Health and Wellness Trust Fund
(HWTF). Tobacco.Reality.Un-
filtered is HWTF’ s teen tobacco
prevention campaign.
