The various sports spaces
within the complex are
covered with the cloak-like
roof designed to provide a
complement to the
beautiful backdrop of the
Ochil Hills in the distance,
while providing a roof
system which caters for the practical requirements of the building. The
cladding profiles are supported on RigiSystems’ structural decking profiles,
giving a clean, uncluttered look to the interior of the building.

Partnership Reaches New Heights
Building contractors,
Tolent Construction,
are continuing their
long-term partnership
with the University of
Huddersfield after
securing a contract to
refurbish the roofing of
the fourteen-floor
Central Services
Building, the latest in a
series of developments
undertaken on behalf
of the University dating
back to 2001. Previous contracts which Tolent have successfully been
completed as part of the University’s ongoing redevelopment programme
include a new reception, library refurbishment, new teaching and
performing arts centre in Oldham, and the conversion of a music building
into a lecture theatre/teaching facility and offices.
