Blackdown Living Roofs Chosen for Students

Blackdown Horticultural
Consultants of Somerset, have
contributed to an ecological
landscape scheme at a striking
new development of Student
Apartments in Falmouth. Built
on a foundation of horticultural
expertise, Blackdown were
chosen to work with Landscape
Architect Charlotte Rathbone of
the Rathbone Partnership in
Devon, helping to refine her
original planting design, ensuring that it would survive the dry, windy
conditions of the elevated coastal position. Blackdown’s installation comprised
of bio-diverse of intensive green roof shrub planting and pebble border.
