FEASIBILITY
Items indicating the feasibility3 of the project include:
 There is a very large land space donated already4 and adequate for the full operation of the
project
 The Farm Houses (Rearing Houses) will be constructed in the south of the Country where
peace if eminent.
 The Veterinary services are available from Makerere University, Faculty of Veterinary
Medicine, and Pathology Department.
 Uganda has a high demand for eggs and chickens. But in this regard, all the chickens will be
sold to Hotels and Government Aided Schools that have illustrated great interest. The eggs
will be exported to Rwanda and on a local market still.
 This Project will provide $3,000 per month for 3 years. This implies that $108,000 will be
yielded from the Project to support the neediest society of the war torn zone.
 There is currently no project of this kind throughout the Country targeting this vulnerable
group. The Uniqueness and originality of this program has been designed to serve as a
Model to inspire new initiatives all over Uganda.
 This Poultry Farm of 2000 chickens (broilers) is to cater for HIV/AIDS Orphans, albino girls,
sexually abused girls who are regarded as outcasts and all war victims.
 We have experienced workers (volunteers) who will attend to the chickens and monitor the
progress of the project from the beginning of the operational phrase.
 Materials like: Wheelbarrows, Tanks, Jerricans, Hoes, Spades, 16,000 Bricks are already
available to facilitate in this Project.

PERSPECTIVES AND SUSTAINABILITY OF THE PROJECT
While A Chicken and Egg Production Facility would make a significant contribution to food security,
more food production and income generation interventions will be required for programming and
expansion of this project. We observe that the sustainability of this program may depend on the
capability of the community to develop and expand the food production beyond the level of mere
subsistence of the community.

3 The Divine Mission International is capable of raising $13,205 to accomplish the Budget.
4 One acre was donated to the first phase of the Farm Project, but the entire program calls for at least 2 more
acres.
