recognition in the True Taste Food and Drink Awards
in recent years.
The awards are part of the Welsh Assembly
Government’s commitment to developing the sector
and to building awareness of the Welsh food brand
‘Wales The True Taste’.
Last year’s awards Monmouthshire became the
first winner of the newly-created category Best Food
Tourism Destination.
There’s a whole new programme of events taking
place at St Michael’s Centre.
Great Welsh Restaurant Tasters will offer the
opportunity of spending an hour in the company of
some of the nation’s top chefs and restaurateurs who
will cook signature dishes, offer samples of their food
and tell inside stories from the restaurant trade.
