The Walt Disney Family Museum: A museum in San Francisco has opened to tell the inspiring story of Mickey Mouse’s creator.
Content at the Walt Disney Family Museum is particularly suited to adults but the exhibition welcomes all ages. Housed in historic
buildings, the galleries opened on October 1 and use drawings, film clips, manuscripts and musical scores to look back on the life of
Walt Disney. Exhibits include the earliest known drawing of Mickey Mouse and an historic audio recording, which announces Walt’s
death in 1966 and reflects on the world’s reaction. Admission is $20 for adults, $12.50 for children aged 6-17 and free for children under six.
Entry is with timed tickets. waltdisney.org
