Jessica Veneetheethan, Mauritius
Many resorts offer special themes, which need lots of input from a wedding co-ordinator. One of the themed weddings which Jessica
Veneetheethan organises at Beau Rivage in Mauritius is a Royal Indian Wedding. “The day includes tea in the Maharajah Suite, when the
bride’s hands are decorated with mehndi, a traditional Indian art form,” she says. “The civil ceremony is followed by a blessing from a
Hindu priest, a champagne toast, dinner and a special dance routine.” Jessica, who has worked at Beau Rivage for a year, adds: “It’s the finer
details I enjoy working on. To be able to make a couple’s wedding day the best day of their lives is so uplifting and positive.”
