in Biostatistics

The University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions, Department of Epi-
demiology and Biostatistics, invites applications for two full-time faculty positions in biostatistics.
Position One (PS# 00024242) is intended for a senior candidate who would be employed at the
Associate/Full professor level. Senior candidates should provide evidence of a well-developed and
funded program of methodological research as well as evidence of providing leadership to the
field and her/his home unit. Position Two (PS# 00023392) is intended for a candidate who would
be employed at the Assistant/Associate professor level (tenure track) or as a Lecturer (non tenure
track). Junior candidates should provide evidence of the potential to develop and implement such
a research program. For both positions, the successful applicants would have a doctoral degree in
Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field. In addition, the successful applicants will be ex-
pected to teach in the College’s rapidly growing MPH program, participate in the PhD program in
Biostatistics (expected to start in Fall 2008), contribute to the mission and vision of a rapidly grow-
ing Department and College, collaborate with other faculty within the College and Health Sciences
Center, and build on strong research traditions of UF while addressing key Public Health issues in
the state of Florida and the southeast region. There will also be opportunities to interact with fac-
ulty in the Department of Statistics in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

and Health Professions is part of the University’s Health Science Center, which also includes the
Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, and Veterinary Medicine. For more informa-

Application review will begin on December 14, 2007, and will continue until the positions are filled.
