Dragonara re- opens in style

D

ragonara Casino marked its grand Re-Opening with a memorable event at the Dragonara Palace celebrating its 10 million Euro

extensive upgrade project in style. Located inside one of Malta’s most extraordinary properties, the Dragonara Casino is the only casino in Malta set within a historical palace, built in 1870. The event was attended by top dignitaries from Malta’s top social circles, the casino’s most loyal patrons and distinguished guests including the international press. Cecila Rodriguez, an up and coming Argentinian top model was the guest of honour for the event. She presided over the traditional first spin on the Casino roulette table.

Addressing the guests of the Casino, Mr Johann Schembri, Managing Director and Partner of Dragonara Gaming Limited, the operator of the Dragonara Casino for the past six years, explained how the project, initiated some months ago, involved the complete re-design of the casino layout. “Through this 10 million Euro investment we are re-

affirming the Dragonara Casino as one of the most coveted casino properties in Southern Europe,” said Mr. Schembri. “We have worked with some of the world’s leading casino resort designers to complete this ambitious project in record time. The entire casino layout has been re-designed in such a way that markedly improves the overall experience of the casino player. Special attention has been devoted to the layout and design of the Live Tables set-up with the aim to alleviate the standards of our service which are now amongst the best the European market has to offer.” Mr. Schembri also elaborated on the improvements

undertaken by Dragonara Casino to other elements within the product mix of the casino. “We have also invested in first-to-market Slot products from the

world’s top industry suppliers, thereby extending our range of slots products available within the casino yet again re-affirming our total commitment towards enhancing the product experience of our patrons.

The upgrade project at the Dragonara Casino also included major enhancements in areas that were relatively neglected by the Casino in the past. The creation of a dedicated Poker Room, the establishment of a high-class VIP Lounge for private gaming and the newly- established Sports Lounge complete the product mix within the Dragonara Casino. “We have now created a specially-dedicated area inside the casino where poker players can enjoy their favourite game against the unique backdrop offered by the views of St George’s Bay, making our poker room an inimitable and exclusive feature in

casinos across Europe,” commented Mr. Schembri. “We have also created an exclusive VIP Lounge equipped with all the amenities demanded by international high-rollers and private gaming groups. The space has been decorated to the highest standards of design to meet this rising demand for private gaming. Our VIP room is truly the envy of any casino operator that truly wants to cater for this growing market sector,” added Mr. Schembri. “Another novelty to which we are really looking

forward is the new dedicated sports betting lounge providing the widest range of sports-betting markets and offering the best land-based odds in the market. In fact, Sports betting at the Dragonara Casino is being offered by Malta’s fastest growing sports betting brand, IZIBET,” concluded Mr Schembri. The Dragonara Casino hosts over 300,000 patrons

a year. Dragonara Casino currently employs around 200 people and is Malta’s foremost casino.
