Thanks for joining us at this year’s Subaru Sea Otter Classic powered by SRAM

into a sport that welcomes all types, no matter age, experience and/or skill level. We salute you, your innovative spirit, and the legacy you’re passing on to new generations of cyclists. In order to meet your tireless demand for excitement, we’ve added new chal-

lenges to this year’s Sea Otter Classic, like the SRAM Pump Park (which you can read about on page 6 of this guide), and a gravel grinder tour that takes you both on and off road through the scenic Fort Ord National Monument (more about the Raleigh Open Road Tour on page 6). There are also two new races for 2016: the Haibike eMTB Race epowered by

Bosch (page 14), and the Brompton World Championship USA folding bike race (page 14), which promises to be as entertaining as it is competitive since no visible Lycra is allowed. Winners in both male and female categories will score a trip to London to compete in the final event later this year. Of course, the foundation upon which Sea Otter was built includes racing

across many disciplines; recreational rides for road cyclists and mountain bikers; and dedicated ride zones if you want to sharpen your skills. Younger cyclists can practice their skills in an area specifically designed for them. And for everyone, there are many off-the-

bike activities like yoga, camping, hiking, a Sea Otter Egg Hunt, a kids’ carnival and live music. But above all, welcome (or welcome back). We’re thrilled you decided to join us for the 26th annual Sea Otter Classic!

Devinci fills out trail line with three new models

M

arch was a busy month for Devinci. The Canadian

company launched three new trail bikes, all of which you can see here at Booths 163, 165 and 167. “It’s a bit unusual for us to be

launching three new products in one month,” said David Régnier-Bourque, marketing director for the Quebec brand. “It’s been an early start for us.” The first one unveiled in mid-

March, the Django, is a shorter-travel trail bike. It features Split-Pivot suspen- sion, with 130 millimeters of front travel, 120 millimeters of rear travel, and 27.5-inch wheels. The Django fea- tures the new Boost 148 standard and comes in both carbon and aluminum versions and in spec builds priced at $2,589 to $5,089 for aluminum and $3,789 to $5,689 for carbon.

The new Django has 130 millimeters of front travel and 120 millimeters out back.

Devinci’s lineup for the U.S.

previously consisted of longer-travel models with its 204-millimeter-travel Wilson for downhill, 165-millimeter enduro-focused Spartan, and 140- millimeter all-mountain Troy. The new Django will bridge the gap between its shorter-travel Hendrix (110-millimeter travel) and the Troy. Here at the festival, the Troy is also being launched in a new color and with a new Shimano XT 1x11 build kit. Finally, while Régnier-Bourque

was cagey about the third bike, which was to be released just days before Sea Otter, and before press time, he did say it would be a full-carbon down- hill rig. Stop by to check it out.
