all time high. Furthermore the park outside Milan picked up a Parksmania award for best new family attraction for its new Il Mondo di Peppa Pig (Peppa Pig World). “The choice to focus on a beloved character like
Peppa was a winner" beams Massimiliano Freddi, vice- president of strategic development. "Peppa Pig’s World was the most loved attraction, with an average score of 9.6 out of 10. Thanks to the pig family, the average age of our guests has lowered, and we increased the number of children aged 0-5 by 50%.” Users of TripAdvisor rated Leolandia highly,
propelling it to the position of second best loved park in Italy in 16th in Europe. These figures don’t necessarily tally with attendance figures, but they offer encouragement to the park’s team that they are doing something right. There were several environmental achievements to be celebrated too, including an increase in online ticket sales of 37%, and a reduction in non-separated waste by more than 30% since 2011. The park’s owner Thorus Leolandia has set aside €2.5 million for improvements in 2016.
S&S unveils Gale
Force vehicle Here’s what the train will look like on Playland’s Castaway Cove’s new Gale Force coaster from S&S Worldwide. Opening at the New Jersey coastal park this coming spring, the ride will be the first LSM launched coaster in the Northeast United States.

Shredder rips up Mall of America
The newest addition to Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America in Minnesota, Shredder’s Mutant Masher has been an instant hit. The custom Revolution 20 from Chance Rides is themed around Shredder from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Its giant pendulum spins and swings riders more than 60ft (18m) in the air. The ride also includes retail space featuring Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles merchandise and other Nickelodeon products.
New seating from Maurer
Maurer has unveiled new coaster seating that can have various configurations. The Bike and Wing Coaster can be arranged as a Bike Coaster or Wing Coaster in single and tandem set-ups. There are multiple theming possibilities. Special advantages include a belt restraint system without shoulder restraints, no back restraints, and double capacity, carrying two riders instead of one per vehicle.
