DANA KERRICK RETIRES AFTER 56 YEARS IN AVIATION
After 56 years in the aviation world — more than half of it in the rotor blade business — Dana Kerrick, vice
president of marketing for International Aviation Composites Ltd. (IAC), has retired. “Dana will be most remembered for his relentless dedication to the education of pilots and mechanics on the maintenance of their rotor blades,” says IAC co-founder Herman Bevelhimer. “Dana is well known and well liked in the industry, there’s no doubt about that. He’s done a lot for the education of helicopter operators.” Kerrick has been a regular guest contributor for Helicopter Maintenance magazine and other industry publications for many years. He is a leading authority in helicopter blade inspection, maintenance and repair. He has been teaching FAA-approved IA renewal courses since 2001. His seminars at HeliExpo and other conferences have been well attended, and

his experience and willingness to help helicopter operators have made him a valuable resource for repairs and preventive maintenance of helicopter blades. When asked what he most enjoyed most about his long
career, Kerrick says, “I have most enjoyed working with the people in the industry and admired the dedication and knowledge of these people immensely.” Kerrick’s dedication to the helicopter industry has not gone unnoticed. Many co-workers, customers and colleagues attended his retirement party at IAC’s Fort Worth offi ce where a slide show highlighted just how many people he has infl uenced — and been infl uenced by — in the aviation industry. Dan Schwarzbach, CEO of the Airborne Law Enforcement Association (ALEA) presented a proclamation honoring Kerrick’s contributions to the ALEA and the helicopter industry.
