EVENT PREVIEW ADVANCED ENGINEERING GRAVOTECH (TECHNIFOR) STAND G1

INNOVATION AT THE HEART OF ADVANCED ENGINEERING

Technifor is a world leader in the design and manufacture of rapid indent, scribe and laser marking solutions for the automotive industry. Established in 1985 and now part of the Gravotech Group, with 32 subsidiaries worldwide Gravotech can boast truly global coverage and support as a world leader in marking and engraving solutions. Technifor provides permanent traceability solutions using Direct Part

Marking (also known as etching, engraving or scribing) through data matrix codes or human readable text across the whole manufacturing sector. From VIN numbers at automotive OEM’s to medical devices and satellite components Technifor’s traceability solutions provide a key element in enabling the manufacturing supply chain to maintain and improve its quality standards. See the range of laser and dot peen marking solutions at stand G1 of the Advanced Engineering show 2015.

Technifor T: 01926 884422 MICRO-EPSILON www.technifor.co.uk STAND F3

Precision sensor manufacturer Micro-Epsilon UK will be showcasing its full range of sensor technologies at Advanced Engineering UK, stand F3, Hall 5, 4th November – 5th November 2015, at the NEC, Birmingham. Located within the ‘Automotive

Engineering’ section, the stand will feature displays of displacement measurement sensors, including non-contact capacitive, confocal and inductive LVDT sensors, as well as 2D/3D laser profile sensors, colour recognition sensors, infrared temperature sensors and thermal imaging cameras. Visitors to stand F3 will have the

opportunity to view and interact with the latest sensor technologies from Micro-Epsilon. Product demonstrations will include non- contact eddy current, confocal, laser profile and capacitive displacement sensors, as well as colour measurement sensors and the latest thermal imaging cameras. Visitors are also encouraged to share their design and application challenges with experts from Micro-Epsilon, who will offer their

technical support, advice and guidance on selecting the most appropriate measuring technique for different applications. Visitors can also learn about Micro- Epsilon’s involvement in the BLOODHOUND SSC Project, where non-contact laser displacement sensors have performed flawlessly in both on-vehicle ride height tests at Jaguar and in high speed (up to 1,1000mph) wheel spin tests at Rolls-Royce. The stand will also feature a

demonstration of the ACS7000 online colour measurement system, which not only recognises reference colours by comparison, but also identifies individual colours from their coordinates in the colour space. With its very high measurement speed, the system is suitable for a wide range of inline measuring tasks where colours and shades have to be examined on- the-fly and to very high accuracies. The system is equally suitable for offline R&D laboratory applications. Existing applications include automotive paint inspection, colour measurement of car interiors, forensics, printing, medical technology, and in the processing of plastics, wood, veneer and textiles.

More than 700 leading international suppliers have booked stands for Advanced Engineering UK, which opens its doors on 4 & 5 November at Birmingham’s NEC. These exhibitors are using the UK’s largest annual trade show and open conference for the high performance engineering sectors to launch new products and services to the wider engineering market. Royal Tool Control will be

launching its new Tool Master ‘BASIC’ presetter live on the Advanced Engineering UK show floor. The previously unseen product, which is based on its Tool Master Quadra presetter, offers a cost effective entry level tool presetter, benefitting from EyeRay Hawk image processing software and an ‘all-In One PC with 15.6’ touch screen monitor, for fast and easy operation. Alicona is using the show to present its optical metrology robot measuring system to the UK market

for the first time. This 3D measurement sensor can be successfully implemented into an array of different industries, providing users with a flexible measurement solution for quality assurance applications. Perceptron will be exhibiting its

new ScanR. It is the world’s first green laser, for use with portable and fixed coordinate measuring machines. Sia Abrasives will be showcasing

its new high performance ‘Sianet’ range of flexible abrasives. ETPS, the leading provider of

power supplies and test systems, will be presenting its new super capacitor emulation GUI. Nordson EFD is introducing its xQR41 Series MicroDotTM needle valve. This new valve features a 60 per cent smaller form factor in comparison to standard valves..

HAMAMATSU PHOTONICS STAND I31

Hamamatsu Photonics introduces at Auto Electronics 2015 the latest image sensors that feature a high- speed charge transfer structure in each pixel to enable high-precision TOF (time-of-flight) distance measurements. The S11961-01CR is a linear image sensor for TOF distance measurement, and the S11962-01CR and S11963-01CR are area image sensors for 3D distance- measuring cameras. In addition to conventional detection tasks such as detecting

the presence of people or obstacles, the new image sensors provide various types of added functionality including distance measurement and shape detection. They have been designed for use in a wide variety of applications, such as automotive systems for detecting people or obstacles, object detection in semiconductor wafer transfer systems, shape detection by industrial robots, and intruder detection by security systems. Also on show the latest range of Multi-Pixel Photon Counter (MPPC); an

opto-semiconductor device with excellent photon counting capability and which also possesses great advantages such as low crosstalk, low afterpulses, low voltage operation and insensitivity to magnetic fields. The comprehensive line-up offers various sizes, package types, associated evaluation boards and modules making it easy to find the ideal match for your application requirements.
