Compact Controller gives multi analogue / digital IO and Comms ports in a single package
Outputs, 8 off 12 bit analogue inputs and 4off 12 bit analogue outputs Four communication ports RS 485 and RS232, a 2 line by 16 character LCD display, four function keys, and a socket for an external FLASH memory card are also provided. The compact unit is 353 mm wide x 166 mm high x 40 mm deep and all I/O and power connections are by 2 part connectors. The FMT-200J is part of the Colter UK manufactured FMT range and is programmed using the FLEX PC programming software which is provided free of charge.

he new rotating, cutting force dynamometer (RCD) from Kistler Instruments (
www.kistler.com) is designed to accurately measure the high forces acting on a rotating tool during high performance cutting (HPC) operations. Mounted on the machine spindle in place of the normal tool holder, the RCD measures three forces and rotational torque even under very heavy loads at up to 12,000 rpm allowing machining processes to be analysed and optimized for minimum tool wear. The new, 4 component piezoelectric force sensor minimises the effects of centrifugal forces and powerful system electronics deliver exceptional signal quality. Non-contact signal transmission eliminates wear and ensures a long, maintenance free life.

ittal has developed four compact PDU (Power Distribution Units) systems for professional power distribution in IT racks which will halve the time a system takes to assemble Compared to screw in PDUs. The system employs snap-in technology so not only is it very quick and easy to assemble, there is also no need for tools. Up to four PDUs can be mounted in the zero- U-space, (the space between the side of the 19-inch level and the side panel of an 800-mm wide IT rack) so no height units for servers are wasted.
All the PDUs feature the standard international data centre CEE connectors with a three-metre long connec- tion cable and C13 and C19 slots. A country-specific variant is also available for the UK market.
