Make it easy by booking your client into one of a plethora of hotels and resorts in Downtown, ranging from top-end chic like The Address Downtown, with its infi nity pool overlooking the famous Dubai Fountain, to the designer Armani Hotel in the Burj Khalifa. If your clients want tradition then the Palace Downtown has it in spades and is even connected to the Souk Al Bahar, a modern shopping mall with Arabesque architecture. Souk it up


In Old Dubai’s spice souk traders still haggle over precious fl avours and fra- grances. Next door is the gold souk, the most famous destination for jewellery hunters, where gold is sold by weight, off ering up a traditional marketplace atmosphere where bargaining a deal is welcome. The Gold and Diamond Park in Al Quoz is also well worth a look.


Mall of the Emirates


This is Dubai’s second largest mall and home to a vast range of shops, nearly 100 restaurants, an indoor ski slope and cinema complex. It hosts interna- tional brands including Debenhams, M&S and Harvey Nichols from the UK; US favourites American Eagle, DKNY and Forever 21; and European brands H&M, Zara and Louis Vuitton.
