76809 SEX DRIVE: Fantasies in Flesh and Steel

by Allen Jake Bronstein 20 classic cars and 20 anything- but-classic ways to have libidinous sex in them: this stunning book celebrates the

thrill of speed and the even greater thrill of satiating the desires it arouses. Fleshy responses to the streamlined pulsing steel are captured in full colour, and each motor vehicle comes with racy text and a feature “Auto- Erotica” box describing a steamy encounter. The original Model-T Ford was a workaday vehicle, but 20 years later no car on the road was cooler or sexier than a tricked-out hot-rodded “T-Bucket”. For those too young to remember, the accompanying “Auto-Erotica” experience reveals that the back seat was big enough for “Rich, 32” to get on top, though other car lovers advise that the sitting position is best. When the girlfriend of a Mercury 1949 Coupe? owner joined him on an 11-hour road trip she little expected to find a vibrator in the glove compartment. They never made it to their destination. Last in the lecherous line-up is the 2006 Lotus Elise, irresistibly conjuring up images of James Bond and prompting “Christina M, 29” to describe how she and her boyfriend would take luxury cars for test drives in order to satisfy their lust for speed and each other in some not- very-secluded spots. After all, why not share the fun? Featured cars include the Chevrolet Corvette, the Rolls Royce Phantom V, Ford Thunderbird and Jaguar E- Type. 119pp, superb colour photography. £12.99 NOW £5

70665 THE ART OF ERIC STANTON: For the

Man Who Knows His Place by Eric Kroll Eric Stanton’s (1926-1999) imaginative, detailed full- colour comic strip narratives picture buxom, leggy femmes fatales having their way with tied-up, handcuffed or simply awestruck men. Stanton’s imagery is either an empowerment of female sexuality or a caricature of female-domination fantasy, depending on whom you ask, but there is no doubt that in Stanton’s world, women rule the land. This retrospective volume covers Stanton’s work from the late 1940s until the 1990s, including over 500 comic strips, single illustrations, and magazine covers. Also featured is an in-depth introductory text exploring Stanton’s life and work by photographer Eric Kroll. Text in English, French and German. Softcover, 10" x 13", 352 pages. New Taschen publication. ONLY £25

72417 LITTLE BOOK OF BUTTS by Dian Hanson

Shapely female bottoms galore in colour and b/w and early sepia naughty images. Here the original content is pared down to just the biggest and the best. Now in these 150 plus photos you’ll see the big and the bountiful, then the bigger and more bountiful, in black and white and in colour. The models may be largely anonymous, but their rear curves are legendary, and now that they’re collected in a discrete little package affordable. Softback, 192 pages. ONLY £7

72422 SHOT BY KERN

edited by Dian Hanson Real world, real girls where the look on a model’s face might be enough to get you aroused. Photographer Richard Kern in collaboration with the ultra-cool American magazine Vice, was interviewed with his naked models behind-the-scenes and here are a lot of very pretty, smart girls getting naked and Kern making

them look fantastic. Stretched across the kitchen counter, brushing teeth, wearing pants, towels artfully draped, hair tousled, some unshaved armpits, doing a back bend, bending over the bed, touching toes and seen from behind, wearing opaque tights, an opaque blouse, girls with girls, under a shower or hose pipe, all young and alive, perky and soft, freckles, jumping up, on the beach and outdoors, and all looking totally happy and relaxed with their bodies and in front of the camera. One big colour photo per page plus free 60 minute colour DVD with all original material by Kern and music by Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore. 8.9 x 11.8", 288pp. ONLY £28

76060 BAILEY’S DEMOCRACY by David Bailey

A Thames & Hudson first edition, 2005, with an introduction by Desmond Morris, this clothbound 10" x 11" collectable hardback has very glossy paper and one nude adult image per page. Occasionally pierced or tattooed - beware Prince Albert ‘John’ towards the end who is very heavily pierced all over his face, scrotum and totally tattooed body - the other models are completely comfortable in their skin, facing the camera, slightly posed. It is testament to the body beautiful that these people really look glamorous, their skin surfaces and subtle shadowing showing the stark reality of the human condition. During each ten minute session, the subject was photographed six times in varying poses, then Bailey chose the example he preferred and each pose was not controlled by him. They were simply asked to ‘be themselves’ and the result is a compelling document of the human body in contemporary times. Young, old, slim, twins, friends, pregnant ladies, muscled slim men and slendar ladies - a right rum mix! First edition.

HUMOUR

I would challenge you to a battle of wits, but I see you are unarmed!

- William Shakespeare 76929 THE BRITISH: The

National Character Observed by Pont

Over 150 cartoons by the wartime Punch cartoonist “Pont” are reproduced in this classy volume that will be treasured by his many fans. “The British Character” was a hugely popular series in which Pont exercised his full talent for satire. “Adaptability to foreign conditions”

shows a tuxedoed bridge party in the jungle, “Love of open-air sports” is demonstrated by a couple huddled round a radio, “The importance of tea” shows a windswept party in a wood struggling to light the camping stove under umbrellas, and “Keen interest in the weather” sums up a bedraggled garden party crowd stranded in The Committee Tent while rain lashes down. The section on Popular Misconceptions includes “The people in the flat above”, who are jumping up and down as if their lives depended on it, and “British Business Methods” in which the boss and the clerk slumber among disorganised files and a plaque saying “Established 1832”. The final “Miscellaneous” section features some gems, including the classic one-liner, “I wonder what sort of people find time to look at this rubbish,” and in another frame two dogs lie on a mat nose to nose, with the caption “Sometimes I think they understand every word we say”. 168pp, cartoons on almost every page. £20 NOW £7

76897 A BILLION JOKES! (VOLUME ONE)

you realise that he has been around for a while and been in everything (nearly). Just as every epic journey begins with one step, a billion jokes begins with the first volume, which offers us the first 308 musings, unlikely facts, inspired puns, daft plays on words and jokes, each delightfully illus. with pen and ink Victorian-style drawings by Alex Morris. Were you aware that Tic-Tac-Toe is actually a form of gout caused by eating too many mints? Imagine the office atmosphere if Peter Parker and Clark Kent worked at the same newspaper! “Sometimes I just like to switch off, which is probably why I lost my job in Intensive Care” and did you know that the easiest way to win someone’s heart is to enter the hospital lottery? Men often experience loss of Internet due to bad wife- eye and I was so tired last night, all the people in my dreams were asleep! 320pp. £12.99 NOW £4.50

76123 RETURN OF THE BUNNY SUICIDES by Andy Riley
