A N D Commemorative Air Force Airbase Arizona Museum HISTORICAL SITES

Arizona celebrated its 100th birthday in 2012, so while not ‘old’ by some standards, there is no shortage of historical properties to choose from when selecting your meeting location. Historic hotels are still standing and operating today, such as the Hassayampa Inn in Prescott, built in 1927 and offering meeting planners a slice of Western charm. There are also a number of famous historical homes to choose from for a more intimate meeting experience. Stonebridge Manor in Mesa has a lovely garden pavilion and a large courtyard – both good options. Groups of up to 1,440 can enjoy the Commemorative Air Force

Arizona Wing Aviation Museum’s collection of vintage aircraft and aviation exhibits while dining.

EDUCATIONAL VENUES The world’s largest collection of optical telescopes is located high above the Sonoran Desert under some of the finest night skies in the world. Kitt Peak National Observatory, on the Tohono O’odham Reservation, is home to twenty-four optical and two radio telescopes representing eight astronomical research institutions. Queen Creek Olive Mill is Arizona’s only working olive farm and mill. Choose to dine under the trees in the Olive Grove or

reserve the entire indoor marketplace. Add in an Olive Oil 101 class or a private tasting to make it educational. The Phoenix Zoo has wonderful conservation and education programs. Home to more than 1,400 animals, including 30 species that are endangered or threatened, there is so much to be learned about the animals that live here while enjoying one of the more than 15 unique venues for corporate events.

STADIUMS/SPORTS VENUES

For an out-of-the-box, WOW moment, consider one of Arizona’s many sporting venues to host your next convention. From the retractable roof of Chase Field, to the roll-in, roll-out field at University of Phoenix Stadium, Arizona is a front-runner in innovative sporting venues. Imagine your next teambuilding event in the locker room that hosts NFL teams from around the country, or a pool party during a baseball game.

Any of Arizona’s distinctive meeting venues will provide the entertainment, conversation and ambiance that will leave your attendees in awe.
