One of the best kit kayaks available. The Arctic Tern's hard-chine hull design is top-notch, combining superb rough-water handling, good tracking and turning. The high-volume has identical handling characteristics but adds an inch-and-a-half of deck height for taller paddlers or folks with larger than size 12 shoe. Svelte and fast, the Murrelet is Pygmy's best selling touring kayak. The low rear deck and rear cockpit height are designed for easy Greenland rolling and re-entry. A rolling machine, even hand rolls are not difficult. Customize your kit by choosing from four decks, two cockpits and two hulls. Hull version one tracks strongly while hull version two is rockered for higher maneuverability. The Murrelet 4PD has the most storage space while the 1PD has the lowest rear deck.

The Selkie takes two of Pygmy's most popular boats, the Tern 14 and Murrelet, and marries them into an elegant, extremely lightweight boat.
