BOARD of DIRECTORS meeting highlights
GAR to Unveil CONSUMER WEB SITE As one of our 2014 Strategic Priorities, GAR is currently putting on the fin-
ishing touches of a consumer-focused web site. The web site will cover all aspects of the process involved in buying and selling a home, ranging from selling tips to school statistics to working with a REALTOR®
, home improve-
ment tips, and much more. Calculators will allow consumers to gauge various scenarios — such as renting versus buying, compare monthly payments with different interest rates and down payments — and help buyers decide as to how much they can afford. The web site will also serve as a place where GAR can get property owners
more involved in advocacy efforts that affect home buying and selling as well as private property rights. It will also highlight cities, towns and counties throughout Georgia and what each community has to offer a potential buyer. Look for an announcement in your inbox in early December.
If you weren’t able to join us in Destin in September for the 2014 Annual Conference & Expo, we missed you! Several important decisions were made that will impact the future of GAR.
