On August 14, attendees had a great day at Showcase 2014, hosted by the Atlanta Board (ABR) and FMLS. Attendees flocked to the 125 exhibitors


and the 11 education sessions, anchored by Frank Norton,


Eric Stegemann, and national speaker Jeff Turner. Also, the soon-to-be released FMLS Matrix system learning


sessions were extremely well received as people look for-


ward to its compatibility with all mobile devices and all browsers. ABR and FMLS Presidents Todd Emerson and Cantey Davis, respec-


tively, were all smiles at the quality and turnout to the event. ABR would to thank


everyone who attended the event, all the vendors, and especially all the sponsors


for all their support in build- ing ABR’s 13th Habitat for Humanity, which is under construction this fall.


The inaugural DeKalb Real Estate EXPO, held on September 4, was a DeKalb


great success, along with an exciting and inspirational class, “Avoiding Roadkill 2015”, from renowned speaker Terry Watson. Event sponsors and exhibitors are already lining up to participate next year. The DeKalb Association wishes to thank them all for supporting this event. On Thursday, September 25, theweather broke just in time for a beau-


tiful day on the golf course. The Association’s annual golf tournament was held at Bear’s Best in Suwanee. Fifty-two golfers lined up to play 18 holes on one of Georgia’s most luxurious Jack Nicklaus courses. This RPAC event was a fun day and great success for a worthy cause.


The Northeast Georgia Board held their June board picnic on the Coosawattee River in Ellijay. The event featured a


BBQ lunch provided by The Pink Pig restaurant, and a successful silent auction benefiting RPAC. Auction items included jewelry, gift certificates, and gift baskets. Music and games were also available for those in attendance.


AUGUSTA GREATER


The Greater Augusta Association spon sored a “Christmas in July” party for the residents at the Geor- gia War Veterans Nursing Home (Blue Goose) in Augusta. Gifts were given to all residents and refresh- ments were served, including ice cream for all.Members of the Asso- ciation and the residents enjoyed the visit and the treats. One resi- dent even requested that the Asso- ciation members come back every day and bring them ice cream!
