“Donnie is a true professionalwho is a dedicated, long-time volunteer for GAR and since 1981. He began his career with Fickling and
Walker (now Fickling and Company), working his way from mail room supervisor to commercial property manager in a matter of months. In 1982, he was promoted to leasing agent and in 1994, he was promoted to Director of Leasing Property Man- agement. Donnie was the top commercial leasing agent for Fickling and Company between 1982 and 2008. His major lease projects inMacon include North 75 Office Park, BellSouth Mobility Plaza, and the CIGNA Building. In 2008, Donnie was ap- pointed Director of Commercial Property Management Department, which has a portfolio of more than 4,000,000 square feet of property located throughout the middle Georgia region and in Alabama, South Carolina and Florida. Donnie holds a broker’s license in Alabama and South Carolina as well as in Georgia. Donnie has served on virtually every committee and in every leadership position for his local board, the Middle Georgia Association of REALTORS®
(MGAR).
Donnie is a past president of the South Georgia Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), having served on several committees for the organization and was named CPM(Certified Property Manager) of the Year in 2004. Donnie also holds the SIOR designation from the Society of Office and Industrial REALTORS®
,
and served as a chair for statewide recruitment outside of Metro Atlanta. Donnie is a lifetime member of the MillionDollar Club, and he received both the Eagle Award and MGAR REALTOR®
of the Year in 1995 and the Phoenix Award in 2000.

Donnie is an active member of St. Andrew’s Pres- byterian Church, where he has served as an elder for nine years and is currently a member of the Building and Grounds Committee. Donnie and his wife Donna have been married for 26 years. Together they have two daughters, a son and five grandchildren.

Who is your real estate mentor? The late Dargan McAfee, who hired me over 35 years ago.Dargan guided and gave me so much needed advice in my early years in the real estate profession.
Where is your favorite vacation spot? Panama City Beach, Florida.We take a family trip there every summer.
What do you like to do in your free time? Play golf, jog and attend UGA football games ...GO DAWGS!

REFLECTIONS
What is your fondest real estate memory? I would say my fondest real estate memory was receiving my CPM (Certified Property Management) designation. Knowing the hard work of completing the required courses and the management plan was truly a proud moment in my real estate career.
