Whether that message be about greater brand exposure for a new ride or the attraction or science, technology, engineering, art or math principles, we are all storytellers creating environments developed to entertain, educate or both. Many of the people I work with on a daily basis work across museums, theme parks, attractions and entertainment.


How important is it to have a well known IP? It really depends on what the venue is looking for. Well know IPs are great because they typically generate higher media coverage. Equally though non-branded experiences that include strong themes like space, dinosaurs, music, food, engineering etc can be more affordable and still bring in the crowd. If you have a well known IP it is easier to drive interest but you also need to meet the guests expectations with what you will deliver. It’s been a pleasure for us to work with a company like Rovio to build the Angry Birds Universe exhibition which uses the brand to teach art and


science principles while still having fun shooting sling shots and riding zip lines!


Angry Birds Universe, produced by JRA and Rovio for Imagine Exhibitions, ran as part of the Modhesh World event at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 28 July until 8 September. New venues will be announced soon.
