LALOVIC STILL IN CHARGE: Nenad Lalovic, who led the 2013 Save Olympic Wrestling movement, was elected president of United World Wrestling. The international federation has changed its name after being known as FILA.
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS: Adeline Gray captured her second World gold medal in women’s freestyle as the U.S. won six medals overall in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The U.S. women finished third for the second straight year.
USAW JUNIOR AND CADET NATIONALS: Four wrestlers, two Cadets and two Juniors, captured prestigious USA Wrestling Triple Crowns during the annual ASICS/Vaughan Junior and Cadet Nationals in Fargo, N.D.
FOUR AMERICANS STRIKE GOLD AT CADET WORLDS: Mark Hall, Spencer Lee, Mason Manville and Teshya Alo captured gold medals in freestyle wrestling at the FILA Cadet World Championships in Snina, Slovakia.
