• Potential stepping stone for learners into employment, further education or training.
• Develops generic leadership skills that can be applied to a variety of sports and/or recreational situations.
• Enables development of their organisation, motivation and communication skills, focusing on safe practice and positive role models.
• Provides the skills necessary to lead groups such as older people, children and disabled people.
• On completion learners will be able to lead others under the direct supervision of an appropriately qualified adult.
• Gives successful learners 30 UCAS tariff points.
