U.S. WINS TEAM TITLE AT UNIVERSITY WORLDS: Tyler Caldwell and Tyrell Fortune won gold medals to lead the United States to the team title at the World University Championships in Hungary. Four Americans earned silver medals.
U.S. FREESTYLE WORLD TEAM TRIALS: Olympic gold medalists Jordan Burroughs and Jake Varner, along with World champions Elena Pirozhkova and Adeline Gray earned World Team Trials freestyle crowns in Madison, Wis.
U.S. GRECO-ROMAN WORLD TEAM TRIALS: Spenser Mango made his seventh straight World/Olympic Team as five wrestlers earned spots on the U.S. World Team for the second straight year in Daytona Beach, Fla.
CLASS ACT: Olympian Sam Hazewinkel placed second at the World Team Trials in freestyle and Greco-Roman in a span of two weeks. Despite a number of near-misses, Hazewinkel has handled himself with dignity and class.
