EVERYTHING BOWLING, ALL THE TIME SOMETHING TO HOLLER ABOUT
The Holler House lanes go back to 1908.
In Awe: Click on the video above to view. Mesmerized by the history surrounding him, 33-time PBA Tour champion Parker Bohn III described the Holler House lanes as “sincerely a walk back in time.
When Parker Bohn III was born on July 13, 1963, the subter-
ranean two-lane bowling alley in Milwaukee known as the Holler House had already been a bastion of certified competition for more than 50 years. Today, Bohn is a senior (by Professional Bowl- ers Association standards), which would make the Holler House a super-super-super-super-super senior among tenpin establish- ments. Last summer, when the PBA Tour took over Milwaukee for
its Summer Series, Bohn paid a visit to the Holler House, and the PBA’s Xtra Frame bowling channel was there to document it. “This is real history at its finest,” Bohn said. “This is sincerely a walk back in time.” Xtra Frame treated viewers to a look at the long, skinny room from the pinboy’s perspective, and showed vintage news- paper clippings and photos that adorn the walls. And then it was time for Bohn to shoe up and try out the 105-year-old lanes.
