Connectors M12
urrelektronik's industrial M12 connectors with IP67 protection are perfect to use in demanding industrial Ethernet applications. The X-coded M12 connector transfers high data quantity. The Y-coded M12 connector transfers both data and power. Murrelektronik's X-coded M12 cordsets are the right solution for error-free, high speed data transfers of up to 10 gigabits per second. They enable full speed transfer on the data highway. A metal cross (X- shaped) in the connector, safely separates the four data pairs from each other. The cables are also shielded from external interference. Combining RJ45 connections in the office and X-coded M12 connections in the field makes it possible to establish a consistent gigabit communication. Murrelektronik offers the x-coded M12 connectors together with highly-resistant PUR cables - they are perfect for applications in industrial environments.

“Get up and Go” in seconds with the SICK G10’s Super-Quick Mounting System
SUPER-quick new mounting design for the compact and tough SICK G10 sensor enables engineers to install new or replacement optical sensors wherever they are needed in just 10 seconds. “SICK’s unique Q-mount screwless system means you can set up the G10 on its bracket with just a few simple clicks.
Often
multiple sensors are used in industrial automation, storage and handling, FMCG or packaging applications to control products on a conveyor system. The G10’s simple design will save hundreds of maintenance man hours for a large facility compared to using conventional screw and nut fittings,” says to Phil Dyas, SICK UK’s industrial sensor specialist.
The sensor’s rugged protective plastic housing is designed to
Seminars combine latest DAQ knowledge with invaluable hands-on experience
BM On Tour 2014 – a series of technical seminars and workshops – is being held at the Williams Conference Centre in Oxfordshire on the 11th and 12th June to help update engineering knowledge on the latest DAQ techniques and equipment as well as giving delegates invaluable hands-on experience. Each of the seminars contains significant practical elements enabling delegates to undertake a variety of exercises on specially equipped workstations while benefiting from expert advice. Delegates will also be given a chance to go on a tour of the world’s largest collection of Grand Prix Formula 1 racing cars and there will be many opportunities to network and share ideas with colleagues

from different areas of engineering. Delegates will have to choose one of two possible options that are available on each day and places are limited. On 11th June delegates can opt for either a workshop on “The Installation of Strain Gauges and an Overview Of Optical Strain Gauges’ or a workshop on “Professional Measurement Software Made Easy”. The strain gauge workshop will look at the principles of measuring with strain gauges and how they work which will include an in-depth examination of the different types of strain gauge along with their properties and technical data.

used together. “The G10 also has hawk-eyes to ‘see’ objects clearly in spite of dirt, grime or optical reflections,” Dyas continues. “The combination of powerful PinPoint LED lamps and sophisticated background suppression software ensure high reliability and consistency of detection even over distances up to 1200mm. The bright spot is clearly visible and whether the environment is dusty or dirty, in sunlight or poor light, the G10 will deliver.” The new SICK G10 is a complete photoelectric sensor product family, including proximity sensors,
retro-reflective
sensors and through-beam sensors. Available in both DC (10-30V) and AC (24-240V), and a large range of cables,
reflectors and mounting
accessories, the SICK G10 is ideal for a wide range of applications. All G10 sensors are available with potentiometer controls used to adjust the sensing range and sensitivity. However, specifically with a view to the requirements of logistics automation, the G10 also offers the option to be adjustment free. This saves valuable time during installation – especially in combination with the Q-Lock system – ruling out subsequent, unintentional changes to the sensor settings.

Precision Fluid Dispensing
Workstation Ultimus V
liminates variability by removing operator guesswork from the process.
The amount gives multi analogue / digital IO and Comms ports in a single package
applied is determined by a combination of (1) air pressure, (2) dispense time and (3) tip size. To make identical dots or fill cavities with consistent volumes of material, the user adjusts air pressure to achieve the desired flow rate and then sets deposit size with the digital timer. For fluids that change viscosity, the Ultimus V high-precision dispenser can store and automatically adjust dispensing settings to keep the amount of fluid applied constant. Can be mounted on robot to automate the process.
Main features of the Ultimus V are: • Auto Increment mode adjusts dispensing parameters after a certain number of shots or a specific lapsed time
• 400 individual memory storage cells • Steady, Timed and Teach modes • Multi-level operator lockout • End of Cycle Feedback loop • External PC interface for data input • Display cycle counter
