Americas U16 Championship were Justin Jackson, Tyus Jones, Johnson, Okafor and Pinson. Additionally, Blackmon participated in four USA training camps as a member of the 2011-12 DNT. Overall, 39 of the 48 players were

In addition to Ford, the committee includes National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) appointees John Olive (Torrey Pines H.S., Calif.) and Herman Harried (Lake Clifton Campus H.S., Md.); Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) representatives Rich Gray (St. Louis Eagles AAU, Mo.) and Boo Williams (Boo Williams AAU, Va.); at-large mem- ber Dave Telep (ESPN senior college basketball recruiting analyst); and athlete representatives Chauncey Billups, a 2010 FIBA World Championship gold medalist and a member of three USA Basketball
teams, and Gerry McNamara, who played on the 2005 USA World University Games Team. The USA qualified for the 2014
FIBA U17 World Championship by virtue of its top-four finish in the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship. The 2014 Worlds will feature 16 national teams that qualified through their FIBA zone tournaments from Aug. 7-17 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Players eligible for this competition must have been born on or after Jan. 1, 1997, and the U.S. roster will be composed of members of the 2013-14 DNT.
