EASYFAIRS FACILITIES MANAGEMENT


TO THE NEC The first ever easyFairs Facilities Management, the only event for facilities, property and estate managers outside of London has quickly gained momentum and will have an array of show features, a major education programme and a hall packed with exhibitors when it opens its doors at the NEC, 11-13 March.


ALL HEAD MAJOR EXHIBITORS


Exhibitors include Bell Plastics, Florprotec, MobileWorxs, Fireco and Lex Autolease. Many are using the opportunity to launch major new products. For instance leading fire safety provider, Fireco will be showing its very latest Easydor. This eco friendly wire free, door operator makes it easier for wheelchair users to open doors.


Bell Plastics will be exhibiting two new materials at the show – Glo Tread and Intread. Glo Tread allows stair nosing, insert strips or discs to illuminate for over 12 hours after being exposed to a light source for only 10 minutes. Intread is the only general purpose product for interior stairs currently available which has been filled with Carborundum on the tread, instead of PVC or rubber. Scot Young Research is exhibiting their new mopping system called Ultimate. This is part of the Scrubclean range and is ideal for cleaning and maintaining all types of flooring. The groundbreaking new flat mopping system is used by restaurants, educational establishments and in healthcare environments across the UK. Enterprise mobility solutions provider,


MobileWorxs is showcasing a number of pre-built applications and solutions that allow organisations to bridge the gap between the office and the field. They will show how it is possible to eliminate paper based processes and provide mobile workers with all they require to efficiently carry out their tasks. Lex Autolease has 265,000 vehicles currently under management. It will outline the pioneering way in which it supplies businesses with fleets of vehicles, the finance options open to organisations plus its salary sacrifice and employee car ownership schemes.

BRITISH PEST CONTROL ASSOCIATION ZONE


The BPCA which represents the public health pest control sector and has over 500 members will host a dedicated area at the event. Simon Forrester, the BPCA’s Chief Executive says: “We’re delighted to be supporting easyFairs’ Facilities Management 2014. We know facilities professionals need advice and support when selecting and managing their pest control contract and our presence at the show is designed to do just that.”


LIONS’ LAIR For attendees eager to see the latest innovations in action there will be Lions’ Lair running live on the show floor. This contest will have the event’s new FM technologies, innovations and concepts pitched to an expert panel in a bid to find the best in show.


LEARNING Facilities Management 2014 will also feature a special programme of content rich seminars called The Exchange. The 20 free talks will be packed with advice, new innovations and case studies for delegates to learn from. For instance Helen McHugh, Head of Sustainable Technology at ebm- papst UK, will discuss where the majority of a building’s energy is consumed, and why it is so important to concentrate on a building’s fans and HVAC equipment when looking for energy savings. Sylvaine Smith, Director of Field Mobility at Motorola Solutions will outline what a mobility solution is, what it can bring to an organisation, how to choose the best option and implement it. Andrew Shaw, Managing Director at Business Services Growth, will explain

why service providers and FM clients should work more closely together. Few would argue that the way people work and therefore working environments have changed enormously, and in ways that were hard to predict. Workplace design expert, Oliver Baxter from Herman Miller, will discuss how scenario planning helps companies understand and anticipate how the workplace could change.
