Hampton County On the Move
Hampton County Economic Development Commission
Executive Director Sandy Fowler The heart of any successful industrial
recruitment campaign is having competi- tive, shovel ready industrial sites. And the most crucial element of any real estate deci- sion is location, location, location! Led by a strong, ambitious and aggressive County Council and Economic Development Com- mission, Hampton County has developed industrial sites that are second to none and boasts the most prime location on the entire Eastern Seaboard. Located just off of I-95 between
Charleston and Savannah, Hampton offers three industrial parks, all of which have been certified through the SC Department of Commerce. Our Estill Industrial Park con- sists of over 351 acres and is located near Savannah on Highway 321. The Lowcountry Regional Industrial Park offers over 478 acres in a Foreign Trade Zone. Hampton’s
newest industrial park, the Southern Carolina Com- merce Park, promises to be a jewel in South Carolina’s crown of industrial proper- ties!
Located 5 miles from
I-95 Exit 38, the Southern Carolina Commerce Park offers on-site rail service to Charleston, Savannah and Augusta through CSX Railroad. Consisting of over 5,000 acres of available in- dustrial property, phase I offers 1,400 acres of site certified property complete with the full slate of geotechnical information as well as a master plan. Developed jointly through a public/private partnership with Mead- Westvaco, the Southern Carolina Commerce Park is governed by restrictive covenants to insure only quality investment will increase in value. In addition to a focus on recruit-
ing new industries to our area, Hampton County remains committed to supporting our existing industry. With an aggressive communications and information sharing program, we provide direct support to our
businesses. Rest assured that once you join our corporate community, you also join our family! Supporting our existing industries is not just a catch phrase for us-----it’s a proven commitment! The centerpiece of all of Hampton
County’s economic development activities is our newly updated website www.hamp-
toncountyecd.com. For more information on any of our available properties, our services to existing industries or our com- munity, please visit our website. We hope that you’ll log on to learn more about how Hampton County is on the move and call us to discuss how you can become a part of it!
