Glossary AccuDry™ sensor drying system
Measures moisture and temperature levels to reduce overdrying and automatically stop the cycle when the load is dry. Dryers with the AccuDry™
top load dryers equipped with the AutoDry™
system use less energy than Whirlpool® system.*
Active Spray technology Sprays the load with detergent in a cone-shaped pattern to completely and evenly cover the fabrics.
Adaptive wash actions Up to 14 different adaptive wash actions in front load laundry and up to 11 in top load laundry, from rocking to tumbling, adapt to the cleaning needs of each load. These adaptive wash actions provide a combination of powerful cleaning and gentle fabric care, handling everything from heavily soiled jeans to delicate silks.
Adaptive Wash technology Colors stay vibrant as Adaptive Wash technology delivers better cleaning performance**
Cold Wash cycle Uses adaptive wash actions together with a concentrated solution of HE detergent and cold water to gently lift stains and soils from fabrics. This cycle delivers great cleaning while protecting fabrics from heat damage and using less energy.
Deep Clean option Penetrates deep into fabric fibers, breaking down and dissolving stains without pretreating. Select models add steam enhancement for even better cleaning.
Deep Water Wash option Helps break down loose soils and using more water and thorough cleaning.
Delay Wash option Sets the washer to begin cleaning up to 18 hours later, during off-peak hours when utility rates may be lower or when unloading the washer is more convenient.
and gentleness. It combines
Precision Dispense, adaptive wash actions and the Care Control temperature management system to help clothes look their best.
Advanced Moisture Sensing Stop shrinking with Whirlpool brand’s most advanced drying system. It uses precise drying and three built-in sensors, including an inlet thermistor and moisture sensing strips, to read temperature and moisture levels, so the drying cycle can end when everything is thoroughly dry, saving time and energy.
Allergen cycle Remove up to 95% of common allergens from your clothes with the Allergen cycle.†
AutoDry™ drying system
Automatically senses when clothes have reached the right temperature and stops the cycle to save energy.
Care Control temperature management system Adjusts the cold and hot water inlets to reach temperatures that are warm enough to dissolve detergents. Water is kept from overheating to help reduce shrinking and color bleeding.
CEE Tier standards Based on the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) qualifying product lists—with Tier 3 being the most efficient. These models feature advanced water and energy savings and may qualify for rebates from local utility companies. Visit

Clean Washer cycle with affresh® Washer cleaner
Deep-fills the washer to clean areas that low-water systems don’t typically reach. All it takes is one cup of bleach. Using affresh®
Washer cleaner also effectively eliminates odor-causing residue and cleans mold and mildew stains.
Direct drive motor Handles larger capacity loads, enhances the spin speed for improved energy savings and uses fewer moving parts so there’s less wear and tear over time.
EasyView™ glass lid
Framed models feature a see-through glass lid that allows you to look inside and see the wash action while the load is in progress. It features a frameless design for a larger viewable area and a Smooth Close lid that opens and closes easily without slamming.
EcoBoost™ option with Eco Monitor
In the washer, this option uses a lower temperature and increased spin speed or mechanical action to provide excellent cleaning and reduce your overall energy use. In the dryer, this option saves energy by using less heat and an increased cycle time. You can even track the energy use of this eco-friendly option with the Eco Monitor.
Eco Normal cycle Saves up to 40% dryer energy when paired with a matching Duet® or Cabrio®
ENERGY STAR®
Meets government standards to help conserve natural resources and save money on your utility bills.
Fabric Sense™ wash system Available in select top load washers, the Fabric Sense™ wash system
automatically matches your needs to the optimal temperature, cycle time and agitation speed for customized care and cleaning.
FanFresh® option with Dynamic Venting Technology® After the wash cycle, the FanFresh® option’s built-in washer
fan circulates air in the washer, keeping your clean clothes fresh and free from odors for up to 12 hours. When activated, select models will automatically tumble clothes for up to 12 hours. You can even wash and dry a small load right in the washer.‡
