TOURS The Taith Gorwelion /


Horizons Tour, featuring international artists hand-picked from international showcases appearing at WOMEX 2013 in Cardiff, supported by some world- class Welsh artists, goes on the road in the event’s wake, courtesy of Theatr Mwldan and Creu Cymru. Four tours in one, taking place over just four days, between 27th and 30th October, artists will visit 16 venues around Wales, with the first concerts taking place on the same day that WOMEX closes in Cardiff. This will ensure that some of the world class musicians selected to appear in Cardiff will also visit every corner of Wales, and will help to spread the buzz created in Cardiff to audiences

Tour 2 features Ghazalaw (Wales / India) with support from Ballet Nimba: Queens Hall, Narberth (27th); The Pavilion, Porthcawl (28th); Neuadd Dwyfor, Pwllheli (29th) and Theatr Brycheiniog, Brecon (30th). Tour 3 features Les Tambours de Brazza (Republic of the Congo) with support from 9Bach: Aberystwyth Arts Centre (27th); Galeri, Caernarfon (28th); Blackwood Miners Institute (29th); Pontardawe Arts Centre, (30th).


Tour 4 features Ebo Taylor (Ghana) with support from Alaw (Wales). Tour 4 visits The Welfare, Ystradgynlais (27th); The Wyeside, Builth Wells (28th); Ucheldre, Holyhead (29th) and The Borough Theatre, Abergavenny (30th).
