Designed to offer rapid and secure mains power connectivity in harsh environments, the Buccaneer 7000 is remarkably compact for its 25A and 600V rating, and has been developed to provide excellent sealing characteristics to IP67, IP68 and IP69K standards.
The all new Buccaneer 7000 Series features the Buccaneer range’s tried and tested one-piece body construction, and has a unique twist locking system with positive feedback, providing quick and convenient, ‘fit and forget’ connectivity in less than quarter of a turn, without the need for technical expertise or specialist tools. Available in 2, 3, 6, 10 and 32 pole options, with a choice of fully interchangeable nickel plated, cast zinc alloy or UV-resistant, UL94-V0 flammability-rated plastic bodies, the Buccaneer 7000 Series will offer engineers and designers the greatest possible flexibility in system design.

AVX Corporation, a leading manufacturer of advanced passive components and interconnect solutions, has released the new TransGuard® and StaticGuard VCLD Series multilayer varistors with Sn/Pb terminations, which feature a minimum of 5% lead (Pb). Designed specifically to support customers who cannot accept pure tin components in their applications, especially within the defense industry, the new VCLD Series varistors provide EMI/RFI attenuation and bi-directional overvoltage protection against transient
events such as ESD, inductive switching, lightning, and nuclear electromagnetic pulses (NEMP) in a single SMT package.
Featuring extremely fast response times to ESD strikes, multi-strike capabilities, high reliability, radiation resistance, and EMI/RFI filtering in the off-state, the new TransGuard and StaticGuard VCLD Series multilayer varistors with Sn/Pb terminations are rated for use in temperatures spanning –55°C to +125°C and are ideal for applications including: IC protection, micro controllers, relays, I/O ports, keyboard protection, portable devices, and radios, among others.

In a great variety of industry sectors, new applications are evolving all the time which necessitate high performance, easy to use image processing solutions.
The new VisionSystem+ from sensor manufacturer wenglor exceeds all expectations.
During the planning stages for the new vision system, special attention was given to the particular requirements of longstanding customers: a flexible vision system which provides solutions for simple shape
and position detection in addition to inspection for completeness, right on up to complex measuring tasks. Other functions are possible as well thanks to the automatic tracking function, such as object differentiation, bulk goods analysis and optimized orientation correction.
The modular system design consisting of Control Unit and Camera is above all distinguished by the new Teach+ function which allows wenglor to respond to customer requirements extremely quickly. The user records the affected segment of the production process to a data file and transmits it to a service technician via wenglor’s website. Project settings are optimized by wenglor and sent back to the user. After reading in the parameters, production can be continued uninterruptedly at full speed.
The entire process is completed without accessing the customer’s network.
The new VisionSystem+ is ideally supplemented with an extensive range of illumination technology. Highly luminous Floodlights and Ring Illuminators, as well as Spotlights in various sizes, shed ideal light on your application. Various types of light and operating modes (through-beam operation, flash mode, diffuse light dispersion etc.) provide for perfect contrast conditions.

Extended range of RFI/EMI SMD spring contacts

Harwin, the leading hi-rel connector and SMT board hardware manufacturer, has expanded its range of EZ-Spring Contacts with different contact styles and heights. Part of the EZ- BoardWare range of PCB hardware products, the surface mount Spring Contacts - also known as Spring Fingers or Grounding Contacts – are now available in 15 different sizes, ranging from 1.7mm to 7.25mm free height (1.20mm to 6.35mm minimum working height), and are suitable for both vertical and horizontal contact actions.
Designed for easy assembly onto PCBs, EZ-Spring Contacts are used as grounding or shielding contacts in contact with metal frames or shields, or even for general electrical connection between PCBs or similar. Mounted in a row, the contacts can provide an excellent RFI shielding connection for metal doors or other cabinet enclosures. The contact design ensures positive contact with the mating surface, and is tolerant to both wiping and sliding action.
Individual clips are supplied in tape and reel packaging for automated placement, and reduce manufacturing costs by eliminating time-consuming secondary assembly operations. Intelliconnect New Cable Assembly Facility
Intelliconnect (Europe) Ltd. has opened a new Assembly Division at the state-of-the-art Corby Enterprise Centre.
The Corby facility will manufacture affordable, high quality cables including high frequency microwave cables, high-spec. triaxial assemblies and semi-rigids as well as standard RG/LMR type products. Special features such as waterproofing to IP68, phase matching, high frequency operation and ruggedised assemblies for use in harsh environments will also be available.
Intelliconnect’s Cable Assembly Division is staffed by an experienced cable assembly manufacturing team ensuring the supply of high- quality, quick-turnaround, and cable assemblies for existing and new customers.
