Art Review
Christian Dior himself isn’t the only talent of the house showcased, the work of his protégé - the young Yves Saint Laurent who succeeded after Dior’s death, is seen in a sumptuous pink floral delight. Other highlights include the 1949 black silk cocktail dress commissioned for Wallace Simpson, The Duchess of Windsor – she may have caused a scandal but she knew how to cut a dash.
This stunning exhibition is a must see for anyone looking to delve back in time to the days of true glamour. Two rooms are dedicated to the exhibition and additional Dior creations can be found at home in the permanent
collection, galleries are nestling amongst
designs by Chanel, Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen. The contemporary fashion
accompanied by historical fashion throughout the ages.
