FOCUS 24

Three pillars to cyber security KMPG advises clients to take a three-step approach to cyber security.

Prevention is where organisations have traditionally focused much of their efforts, and should cover all possible angles, including the supply chain.

Detection can be a weak spot for some organisations, as many tend to assume that their security systems are working well.

Finally, a clear plan for Response in the event of a cyber attack should be in place, one which covers not only IT systems and data security but other functions, such as HR, that might be involved. The plan should emphasise speed in order to minimise the damage.

MANY MANUFACTURING COMPANIES ARE MAKING SIGNIFICANT STRATEGIC

AND FINANCIAL INVESTMENTS IN ORDER TO STAY ONE STEP AHEAD OF THE CYBER CRIMINALS.
