Corre to arms

Ubisoft stunned crowds at E3 with next-gen blockbusters like Watch Dogs and The Division, but the publisher is also determined to lead the charge on current gen consoles and even free-to-play. James Batchelor quizzes Euro MD Alain Corre on his battle plan for Gamescom and next- generation victory

Ubisoft is not holding a press conference at Gamescom this year. What are you aiming to get out of the show?

Our main focus at Gamescom this year will be to give the fans the opportunity to get their hands on our next-gen games for the first time. It’s the first time they will be able to play Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed IV for themselves. Gamescom will be an exciting time for us because it will be the biggest Gamescom ever.

We think the transition will be quicker than it has ever been because of the number of good quality products at launch and

the gamers have been waiting for a long time for these machines. We are full of confidence heading into 2014.
