ambridge Broadband Networks (CBNL), a leading next-generation microwave network company, has announced the appointment of Dr David Purle as senior vice president, research and development. Dr Purle has more than 20 years of experience in the technology sector, spanning research and development, wireless design and product development. Previously, he was vice president of wireless engineering at Mindspeed Technologies, having transitioned from the same role before the acquisition of Picochip. His background includes technical and engineering management roles at Powerwave UK, Toracomm and HP. Mr Purle holds a PhD in Mobile Communications from the University of Bristol. Lionel Chmilewsky, chief executive offi cer of CBNL, said: “David holds a wealth of technology experience, which will be invaluable in driving the development of CBNL’s VectaStar portfolio.

expanded its senior management team with the appointment of Jon Gilbert as group customer service director. Mr Gilbert joins Masternaut from a long career in the vehicle leasing industry, most recently at fl eet funding company Alphabet. Mr Gilbert will have responsibility
for directing and developing the customer service delivery programme across Europe, with a focus on designing and implementing consistent processes, improving effi ciencies and increasing customer retention. Masternaut has over 10,000 customers. Mr Gilbert brings to Masternaut more than 20 years of experi-
ence, having worked in customer service positions across a number of leasing companies including Lloyds TSB Autolease, and Karma Vehicle Contracts. “My experience is within Masternaut customer companies, so I
will bring a highly relevant perspective and deep understanding of customer needs to my role at Masternaut,” commented Mr Gilbert. Chairman and chief executive offi cer of Masternaut, Martin Hiscox,

hris Lister has joined Sepura as UK business development manager. Based in the north west of England, he will look after
the company’s existing customer base and develop new business in his territory, which includes Scotland, northern England and south west England. Mr Lister joins Sepura from control room and applications specialist
APD Communications, where he was senior account manager responsible for all APD UK customers. He also has considerable experience of the UK public safety and commercial marketplace, having previously worked in a senior sales role at Airwave Solutions. Commenting on the
appointment, Jonathan Hamill, regional director for UK & Ireland at Sepura said: “I am really pleased to have Chris on board. He understands the market and is well respected within our ever- expanding UK customer base.”
