Leisure vessels New Apple app lists
onboard inventories Intelligent Maintenance has released an applica- tion for iPhone, iPad and iPod, to assist boatown- ers in keeping track of items aboard their vessels. Monikered ‘What’s On My Boat’, the app enables users to enter individual items and then add
photos, onboard locations and any special notes, such as parts’ catalogue numbers. Users can also create lists and browse these, via various search criteria, while they are away from the boat. The app can be downloaded from Apple iTunes for GBP£1.49 (US$2.30).

Maintenance Miko extends NCA
contract Oslo-based Miko Marine, which manufactures and supplies a range of magnetic and fabric patches as temporary, emergency repairs for damaged vessels on the go, has renewed a service agreement with the Norwegian Coastal Administration (NCA). The NCA fleet currently carries Miko Marine’s patches aboard its principal vessels, including five emergency towing vessels, and previously used a 6m x 2m Miko magnetic patch to seal a large hole in the hull of its trawler Hundvåkøy, after it was involved in a collision.
