The main focus of SKANSKA UTILITIES’ activities is for Anglian Water through the @ One Alliance. “Our work on AMP5, providing wastewater non-infrastructure projects, is working at peak performance with production optimised across all key areas.
Schemes range from £20,000 to £20M and include civil works, such as pipeline and tank installation, as well as major mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls and automation (MEICA) equipment and sludge manage- ment facilities.
The company says: “Our performance expectations for next year are similar to the past 12 months, with our priority on continuing to work closely with our clients delivering customer expec- tations and to achieve an efficient close out of the AMP5 programme.
The transition to AMP6 is an important one for the industry. We’ll be using it as an op-
portunity to continue to drive improvements in performance while finding programme ef- ficiencies. “With many large water in- frastructure projects complete we expect to see a continuing trend towards medium / small scale works – where delivering value for money will be key. Our focus will not be on top line, but on ensuring that we are realising value by achiev- ing outcomes as efficiently as possible. We believe strategic alliances and collaborative so- lutions will have an important part to play in outperforming the efficiency and service challenges that AMP 6 will present.”
