IWIB Q&A

A1 Retail chat to Sarah Pavlou, Founder of the International Woman in Business (IWIB) about the inspiration behind this fantastic organisation, facing challenges and what the future holds……..

and start ups in retail, whilst at the same time paying tribute to the successful achievements of international women in retail.

1. Here at A1 Retail Magazine, we were delighted to hear about the IWIB at the RBTE, what was the inspiration behind its inception?

IWIB joined forces with Europe’s largest Retail Business Technology Expo to offer to their already existing retail experience a unique opportunity for their visitors to receive expert retail advice from international women in retail, covering key subjects including international franchising, online retail

As well as providing extensive retail solutions, RBTE presented a fantastic networking opportunity and with this, we as IWIB, were able to introduce our ‘GET CONNECTED’ program, emphasising the benefits of being connected and networked in business. IWIB is a network of opportunity; connecting women worldwide in business. With over 1000 members to date, we invest in the personal and professional development of all those involved, highlighting the importance of synergies, working together as a team and striving to become the very best one can be in life.

As we say at IWIB, « Together Everyone Achieves more; making it an exciting world for Women in Business»

2. What has been your biggest challenge to date?

IWIB was founded in the early part of 2012 and like most start up businesses, our biggest challenge to date has been funding for furthering our expansion at the pace we would like. As a non profit organisation we rely on the support of others in the form of sponsorship, donations, corporate membership, volunteers, advertising etc; from those who too recognise the opportunities we bring to thousands of women throughout the world as well as the benefits of training and developing all members to invest in themselves and others, working together as a team to bring about outstanding results for all those involved.
