LDL PRESENTS CREW LOVE, MEZZANINE, SAN FRANCISCO, CA
SATURDAY MAY 11 WOLF + LAMB, SOUL CLAP, PILLOWTALK, NICK MONACO, NAVID IZADI
NOTHING compliments the warm vibes of summer like the love-laden, deep and sensual melodies of the Wolf + Lamb crew. Lights Down Low are preparing for a summer of love, kicking things off right with three of the most unique and colorful music groups around. Wolf + Lamb aren’t just the DJ duo of Zev and Gadi, but also a label and collective of some of the most artistic, innovative and inspiring people in electronic music today, curating a new wave of house and nu-disco artists who’ve been quietly changing the musical landscape to a sexier, more inclusive one. PillowTalk’s ability to mesh classic soul, Motown and disco with modern house grooves provides for a live show like no other, complete with live vocals, guitars and keys. Fellow collective members Soul Clap, whose irreverent and playful style permeates every facet of their artistic endeavors, especially when turned loose behind the decks with their friends, will be joining in the fun, rounding out one of the most sensual lineups of the summer.

LIGHTS DOWN LOW 7TH BIRTHDAY, MEZZANINE, SAN FRANCISCO, CA
SATURDAY MAY 25 AZARI & III, LEE FOSS, TODD TERRY, SLEAZEMORE, RICHIE PANIC, JOAQUIN BARTRA, ELI GLAD, BT MAGNUM
CAPPING off a walloping month for Lights Down Low at San Francisco’s highly popular Mezzanine is LDL’s 7th birthday, and they’re not pulling any punches for this one. White-hot Canadian group Azari & III of ‘Reckless With Your Love’ and ‘Hungry For The Power’ fame are heading the bill, and as anyone who’s seen them perform before knows, the group always brings a wild, energetic and top-notch performance with them. With so much memorable and popular material, singing along is a must. Hot off of the recent remix of pop-starlet Lana Del Rey’s ‘Summertime Sadness’ with MK, one half of Hot Natured, Lee Foss, will be along for the ride, as well as New York legend Todd Terry. It could be argued (without much fuss) that there would be no Azari & III or Lee Foss if there hadn’t have been Todd Terry first. A pioneer of the modern day house and garage sounds, Terry has DJing and producing Top Ten hits like ‘Keep On Jumpin’’ since the late ‘80s. A birthday bash for the ages!

VERBOTEN, HIGHLINE BALLROOM, NEW YORK, NY
FRIDAY MAY 10 JOSH WINK, MATTHIAS TANZMANN, ANDREW GRANT, SARAH MYERS
ONE of the hottest brands going in New York underground these days is Verboten. They’ve managed to bring a string of high profile, upper echelon underground artists to the city in recent years, including Âme, Matt Tolfrey, and Art Department to name just a few, and they’ve almost outdone themselves this time around. Josh Wink recently released his first EP in almost four years, the wild acid smasher ‘Balls’ which is a trip back to his ‘Higher State’ days – raw and uncompromising to say the least. Joining the Ovum boss is DC-10 Circoloco favorite and Moon Harbor boss Matthias Tanzmann, along with fellow Circoloco resident and hard techno purveyor Andrew Grant, both of who played Verboten’s Circoloco fiesta at Beekman Beach Club last summer. Sarah Myers will be making her NYC debut with an opening set.
