MACEO Plex seems to be everywhere these days. From his controversial remarks about Nina Kraviz, to his much anticipated DJ Kicks album, which dropped at the end of April and was self-described as ‘dark, sensual and dystopian’, or the announcement that he’ll be helping to reopen Amnesia in Ibiza this summer - alongside the likes of Pan Pot and The Martinez Brothers - people just can’t seem to get enough of this Miami native turned Barcelona transplant. As the DJ Kicks album shows, more and more of Maetrik’s techno edge seems to be leaking through to Maceo’s sets, so don’t be surprised if things get take a walk on the dark side. In keeping with the bevy of debut Denver performances by a wide selection of deep and tech artists recently, including Maya Jane Coles, Joseph Capriati and Thugfucker, Maceo will be bringing all his fame, charisma and skills to what’s sure to be another wild show in the Mile High City. He’ll be backed up by Denver native and one half of H-Foundation, Hipp-e, for a top-notch billing all around.

SUMMER is finally on the way for most of us around the country, and that means two things for lovers of the beat: festivals and daytime parties. Nothing screams summer like a daytime rooftop shindig, especially on a Sunday afternoon. Eight year DC-10 resident and one third of Apollonia, Dan Ghenacia, will be keeping things rolling along with his groovy, atmospheric brand of lush house – perfect music for sipping cocktails to from your perch on the lovely Los Angeles skyline as the sun slowly sets. We Love… Space Ibiza regulars PBR Streetgang are also along for the ride. This UK-based duo have been setting the scene alight with a string of high profile releases over the last few years on labels like Hot Creations, 20:20 Vision and Futureboogie, and have played the likes of Croatia’s The Garden Festival. They’re also embarking on their first US tour this year, so be sure not to miss this one.
